Information on bike transportation
Bicycles may be taken from the Congress and Hungerburg stations. It is not possible to take bicycles to the Alpenzoo and Löwenhaus stations.
Until 10 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. bicycles can be taken on the Hungerburgbahn free of charge for everyone, no additional ticket is required. Bicycle transportation on the Seegrubenbahn is subject to a charge throughout the day!
Between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. bicycles are only transported with a valid ticket (first chargeable ride 10:15 a.m., last chargeable ride 4:15 p.m.). Children up to 6 years are free when accompanied by a parent and do not require a ticket, children over 6 years require a ticket.
Important information about taking bicycles on the Hungerburgbahn:
Depending on the number of passengers, a maximum of 12 bicycles can be transported per trip. Compartment 1 must remain free at all times for barrier-free access. Bicycle helmets must be removed in the stations and during the journey. Each passenger must secure their bicycle independently in the cabins using a “strap” to prevent it from falling over.
