Karwendel Nature Park

Take the Innsbruck Nordkettenbahnen cable car directly from the city center to Austria's largest nature park in just a few minutes. The Hafelekar mountain station - the Top of Innsbruck - is the gateway to the high alpine Karwendel. It offers breathtaking views to the north over majestic peaks as far as the eye can see.

A few meters behind the station building on the Hafelekar is the Karwendelblick, where Austria's largest nature park is revealed.

The Karwendel is not only an impressive natural paradise, but also a special habitat for wild animals. Here, visitors can experience the pleasure of seeing a golden eagle, ibex, marmots, chamois or a bearded vulture in the wild.

Here at an altitude of 2,300 meters, high above the rooftops of Innsbruck, you are so close to nature that you can forget the city at the foot of the Nordkette mountain range for a few minutes.
