IFFI Open-Air Movie Night
Experience the film “LA CORDILLERA DE LOS SUEÑOS” under the open sky at Seegrube.
LA CORDILLERA DE LOS SUEÑOS
Patricio Guzmán / Chile / 2019 / DCP / 85’ / Spanish with English subtitles
Film info: Patricio Guzmán explores his homeland, Chile, through the lens of its ever-present mountains: the Andes mountain range, the Cordillera, covers approximately 80 percent of the country’s territory. Guzmán speaks with artists and researchers to discover what the Cordillera has to do with the essence of Chile and its people—it resembles a protective wall that shields the country, but also isolates it. This blends reflections on filmmaking with videos and memories from the military dictatorship, which still shapes the nation’s identity—and, of course, footage of the Cordillera, the silent witness to this dark era.
Please note:
This is an open-air event. Please dress warmly!
The film screening takes place outdoors. Even when temperatures are warm in the valley, it can cool down in the evenings at Seegrube—we recommend bringing warm clothing, jackets, and blankets. Feel free to bring your own seating or use the provided lounge chairs. The Seegrube restaurant is open. We ask that you return the lounge chairs to their original locations at the end.
The event will only take place in good weather.
Use the discount code IFFI2026 to receive a 20% discount on the evening ticket (round trip).
Note: This ticket allows you to take the Hungerburgbahn from the Altstadt station until 7:15 PM. The Seegrubenbahn will then take you up or down every 15 minutes until 11:30 PM. Since the last ride on the Hungerburgbahn is only available until 7:15 PM, this ticket allows you to take the Hungerburgbahn up, but not down (included in the ticket price). Alternatively, bus line J runs directly from the Hungerburg back into the city.
The Freizeitticket Tirol is valid.
